Hi everyone,
I started to dive deeper into the MKXL+ parameters and the filter kind of confuses me, especially if I try to compare it to my Minilogue xd.
When I turn the filter type knob I see 4(5?) types of filters that change, but in the editor I can't choose a filter type but I can for filter 2... So, wut?
Can anyone shed some light on how to choose a filter type for each filter and how they react with one another? I'm completely lost. |

Hi,
Filter 1 uses the BALANCE knob to "add" 2 filters outputs together. It has basically 5 types: LPF24…LPF12…HPF…BPF…THRU. The dots mean that a setting in between is possible as well.
So filter balance value:
* 0 corresponds to LPF24
* 1…30 Intermediate character between –24LPF and –12LPF
* and so on
Refer to p 92 of the manual, in the editor you can get on the main page of the program a visual representation of the filter characteristic.
When slowly moving the BALANCE knob in the editor you will see pass by the type when the reference value is reached.
Filter 2 has only 3 discrete type: LPF, HPF, BPF. So no intermediate configurations are possilble
