The hardware Wavestate only allows up to 4 GB of multi-samples; can the VST version exceed this? If you start acquiring a number of third party "presets" products that include their own multi-samples, I assume the Korg Sample Builder can be used to compile them all into a single .korgcompiledbank file allocated to the VST. Over time after recompiling (as new products are added) this file could become large. Hopefully there is also no limit as to the max number of multi-samples allowed in the file. Today it is a pain to have to reassign a vendor's bank if you switch to their presets, hence the reason recompiling into a single bank. It would be nice if Korg could either develop a process to make adding new banks to a single file easier, or, allow allocation of multiple concurrent banks. |
