Just to confirm your question...

I think you are saying - when you select transpose, a Midi File with a score changes the SCORE to display the shifted notes. I believe you want to transpose the keyboard, but keep the SCORE the same so you can play the same notes, but shift up or down for a vocalist.

If this is your question, then Yes. Mine does the same. Transposing shifts my keyboard and my SCORE when selected. I tried SETTINGS/GENERAL/LOCK and found a check block next to TRANSPOSE. I deselected it, but experienced the same results: SCORE changed with Transpose.

Hope this answers your question

After reading more of the manual - I thought I could make this work...

But still no luck.

If you deselect SONG leaving all the rest checked - the score remains the same, the keyboard will transpose, but the score will not.

However that means the rest of your "band" is in a different key...

So, I think it's a bug. Logically I think you would deselect the items that you didn't want to transpose (Keyboard, Song, Score, Midi). I tested all of these with and without the Master Transpose selected (General Settings)

manual gives false information. +6/-5

The true figure is +11/-11

I was just reading about this. Check page 464

MP3 are limited to -5 / +6 to avoid excessive degradation. If I read that part correctly it flip flops once you go past the limiting range
