You are of course correct. The whole keyboard is still “a work in progress” .

Would have been nice to know you were buying a “ work in progress “ exceptionally expensive keyboard at the outset wouldn’t it.

Any idea when the work in progress is likely to be complete ? No ?

Me neither , and I suspect even korg don’t know because they didn’t test their product before fraudulently taking customers money .

But if it’s taking 6 months to get the first raft of bug and feature deficiencies fixed , then how long for its full features, if at all ?

Yes Worth.. but if you read my words carefully historically on the issue of PA5X then perhaps you will see (perhaps not) a process that will serve me well should I find my self in another place pursuing this...

And despite what we have seen here so far, which i like many others have experienced first-hand, i will then be measured as being fair but also so very firm in a time of my own choosing which will follow a very logical and methodical path as I see no satisfactory way of going backwards...

So as you continue to cross examine my words where perhaps I don't quite react in the same way you may like, but then also understand i do not necessarily disagree with you in principal, So know this...

If this product continues to be unsatisfactory after a considered Fairness Of Time (and Worth please do not misunderstand me when I use words like Fairness to be confused with my sentiments like you around these threads) Then The final cut will be the deepest by my instuction should this all fall on the wrong side of "The Fairness Of Time" where I would of considered all things from a cool and calm perspective..but lets hope this will not happen...

So i hope korg has now reflected on these early chapters of PA5X and initiate action for a quick recovery where there is a strong need to tap into their deep resources to reinforce and delegate from a development perspective so we do not have to experience old patterns of the past so to avoid a meeting of minds in a neutral place with a third party making the final decision...

The observation now is to see how korg handle the passage of time which will wait my review....

P.s.....But this may all Pale Into Significance as we watch the aprant destruction of the 3rd Industrial Revolution to make way for a more sinister 4th that might just be coming over the hill.

The wording of Korg's announcement is quite "generic" and non-specific with regard to the actual issues like using the word "improvement" a lot.

At least they have spoken and we can all expect an update - that is the main thing.
Exactly what will be fixed/completed/improved remains to be seen - in December!!!

Our next step now is to wait...

Very Happy

When you take a look at the Pa4X timeline:

September 3rd, 2015: Announcement of Pa4X
December 15th, 2015: OS 1.1.0
December 24th, 2015: OS 1.1.1
February 25th, 2016: OS 1.1.3
April 5th, 2016: OS 1.2.0
June 30th, 2017: OS 2.0.0
August 1st, 2017: OS 2.0.1
April 27th, 2018: OS 2.1.0
May 31st, 2018: OS 2.2.0
January 19th, 2019: OS 3.0.0
March 28th, 2019: OS 3.0.1
July 10th, 2019: OS 3.1.0

It took some time before the Pa4X was getting better and reliable. Almost a year before OS v2 had been released. Only one year and a half before OS v3 came out. A long way to go... If Korg continues improving its products this way it might get a new top arranger but IMHO it might get faster to improve...

Will korg take their time to heal us?
The users of their great keyboards, because they have great ideas with unfinished things since 2010.
We all know it, they know we have still problems that they did not fixed to 100%

So, this time, 1 another kb release before release of the Os? Like pa 2,5 in red blue and purple!
Why not, they did that few times
Before,!!!
They maybe think we will get over it, AND YEA we will get over to another thing another brand after 2022 for sure.

What I can see here is that, (my opinion)
Yes we will have an update that will fix the major bugs, rest is unknown.
We do not know if we will get the midi to style!
We do
Not know anything about compatibility from
Other Pa s
I also wonder, will they surprise us with a pc/mac sound creator toll as a gift after how they handled this?

And if the keyboard gonna be better in 2025 or later, is that ok for us all?
For me NO!
It’s 2023 soon and the technology is beyond everything.
And one more thing, there is others waiting on the corner Korg s fall now.
If Korg cares about it, they must wake up earlier in the mornings from
Now.
The siesta is over.
Look at the calendar now,
Time is running.

That's it pretty much! It's an ugly way of doing business but it is what it is.

I still think they should've sold the unit with an official warning in place. Then it would've been on users to make that somewhat 'informed' decision.

Buyers had the choice to buy or not to buy.

Sadly it was foolhardy of anyone to rush headlong into buying the Pa5X when it was obvious that it was a brand new OS.

Who in their right minds buys a new keyboard with a new OS and expects it to work and be bug free.

That does not happen, buyers of new kit are part of the extended Beta testers except that they paid for the privilege.

So now the buyer is to blame for foolishly being defrauded of their money by the greedy company that cynically and intentionally launched an incomplete product to the market ?

Is this how consumers must expect to be treated now ?

Wow …..

I am very surprised by this.

If a company advertises a product as having certain features, then it should have them, and they should work. That is the very least, morally and legally.

Simple.

No more negative posts about the actual PA5x from me - I need to see what Korg will do with OS 1.1.0

But the handling of this is terrible.
Current owners should not consider purchase of such an expensive instrument to be a huge risk - this PA5x was, and unbeknownst to them!!!
I bought my PA4x at its beginning - never saw it, never played it but had read the docs and details - I expected a few bugs, but also expected it to work - it did!!

Even though Korg have at last spoken (think they had no choice which is even more disappointing) they have left a gaping hole in their credibility for me.

Personally, the trust has to be re-earned - I am waiting but not sure how or when I will be convinced....

Very very disappointing.

Very Happy
