Hello all, new owner of a Kronos and my god this thing is a beast and a half. What a first choice of workstation I have chosen.

Simple question, I want to to run audio from my iPhone straight in to the kronos to use the phone as my drum machine, is this possible? I haven’t tried any ways yet, in case I set up a path wrong and fry something.

I have several drum machine apps on my phone that I can load my own samples in to, and they have much easier controls for live beat making. My thought was to run audio from the phone into either of the korg’s usb slots, and record on an audio track in sequencer via usb 1 or two, which ever works (if any).

Edit: I have a iPhone 12, so we’re talking lightning to usb. Lightning to another port is fine, if that ends up being the solution.

Congrats on the Kronos!

Yes, it is possible - And you need the Camera connection kit from Apple to be able to send Audio via USB to/from the iPhone.
Also, you’ll need to use the USB B port on the Kronos.

Other than that it should be plug and Play.

Hi.

That should work - I’ve only used this with mine:

But other than the ability to charge while connected, they should work the same.

Something like this would work as well, using the Kronos' analog audio inputs instead of USB.

If you have a newer iPhone with the USB type C charging port:

Thank you all for suggestions, I went with camera adapter, then went into USB 2 port. Currently using the EasyBeats 3 app and it syncs with tempo, play & everything.
