So the Pa5x gets a new update. But no sign of any updates for features for Pa700 and Pa1000 owners since 2019.

Yes the focus is obviously on the newest top of the range model.

But at this moment in time P700 and Pa1000 are still current entry and mid range models.

I imagine that is a while off as there was quite a gap between the Pa4x and Pa7/1000 being released

Why should they do this? To experience a disaster with another range/series?

Long enough the focus is obviously on the newest top of the range model - but the main system components of the midrange Pa1000/700 hardly differ from those installed in the Pa5x.

Maybe Pa5x really gets a new update and maybe some years later that also will happen with midrange series.
But for me that's not very likely either.

There will be no new updates for the PA4x and below..
pa 1000
pa900
pa700
an so on...
There's no money involved so why should they update it that's a business.

If you want new updates for your keyboard it's very simple.
You need to update your keyboard and that would be pa5x
.
You could say there's things that need to be fixed on the older keyboards
.
It's all true but it ain't gonna happen.
not very likely either.

Well there are 2 versions of pa700 and pa1000 .
The first one (internals closer to pa4x) which have RCA for video output.
The newer one (internals closer to the pa5x) which have the HDMI video out.

As a result they can't give features of the pa5x to the old ones as they would not be compatible with all the pa700 and pa1000 that have been sold.
What they can do though is give features of the pa4x to them like the Sample Ram.They can make them work in streaming mode to Up the ram.

Who knows, maybe they ll do it after things with the pa5x settle down!

Hello,
I did not mean that they can give features of the pa5x to the "old ones", but mentioned that the system components of the "old ones" of midrange are just as contemporary as those of the Pa5x.

Currently is no reason to replace Pa1000/700 by a new series, whose SoC comes from the same Sitara Arm Processor family built in Pa5x. It features ARM/Cortex, C66x DSP, imaging and multimedia acceleration cores and further technologies, that don't require thinking about a replacement - otherwise it would be a reason also to replace the Pa5x.
*
What KORG should do first (with newer one SNR > 40000) is to give some handy and for varied performance necessary but missing features. That Pa4x years ago got with "next" OS version 3.1 and earlier OS versions - for midrange series nothing happened in this direction

With OS v3.0 Keyboard Sets Lock has been added to Pa4x to preseve selected Keyboard Sets(1-4) when choosing a SongBook Entry - that is also necessary for Pa1000/700 to prevent unwanted ugly sound interruptions with styles after Sb-entry selection.

With OS v1.2 Fill Mode parameters have been added to the Style Play for Pa4x - allows automatically choosing a Variation at the end of a Fill or Break. These parameter are saved to the Style Settings or a SongBook Entry - still missing for Pa1000/700 since years.

Since the introduction of the Pa1000/700 the failures of KORG are extremely annoying, because missing features were already heavily complained about when they were introduced. From features that one was used to them from the previous models could not be assumed to be left out without replacement - like that StylePlay functions mentioned above.

It's also annoying that Korg hasn't responded to threads like this (Forgotten Pa700 and Pa1000 owners) for years, because disgruntled customers keep posting similar threads - maybe until the brand is changed because of Korg's misconduct.
*
What can be better about a new series?
As long as essential missing functions of the current models have not been completed for years, experience has shown that this is unfortunately to be feared for every new series from Korg. Apart from the additional problems with new models, as was evident with the Pa5x!.
*
I am currently not wishing for a new model - I would be reasonably satisfied if the Pa1000 was finally completed with at least the features we are used to from its predecessors - and where many functions could not only be saved globally, but in the KbdSets/Performances.
