Hi,
I have a problem, maybe im doing something in the wrong way...
I choose an USER Style , change the sounds for drums, perc, acc1 etc and. SAVE, than i need to edit something on this style and when i enter in STYLE RECORD i get the sounds changed to the original ones... also if i save this style after editting it overwrite the original sounds so i lost all my choosed sounds... what im doing wrong here? :/

Thank you to all!

Ruifa

Hello Ruifa,
a style consists of two parts - the style sequence and the style performance/setting.

Style sequence only can be changed with "Style Record", but style settings also can be changed without "Style Record" by simply using track select, changing the sounds of tracks and "Write Current style setting".

Write current style setting will change the sound set of the user-style, but not its "Original Sound Set". So if using "Style Record" you will see the original sounds of style tracks again.

Next if you change the current style setting without Style Record, simply select the "Original Sound Set" checkbox before "Write current style setting". So you would not loose your choosed sounds if using "Style Record" again.

If it may be a benefit for you to use "Original Sound Set" and "Current style setting" in parallel. So you get different settings for the same style element, if you simply write style settings without selection of checkbox "Original Sound Set" and use manually selection of original/current setting via checkbox "Original Sound Set" ---> p 221 Pa4x-manual

Great explanation Siebenhirter! 😀
Thank you!
I’ll try that later on my PA4x

Best regards!
