Bladerunner 2049

Post by QuiRobinez »

Song: Bladerunner 2049
Keyboard set: QR Granular Pad

how is this keyboard set created?
- I have created a couple of granular sounds in my synthesizers
- I sampled them and transfered them to the Korg Pa5x

- In sound edit mode I created three sounds
- 2 new pad sounds with modulated envelopes on adsr and filter LFO's for the samples
- 1 new programmed Piano sound which uses the Italian piano samples
- I've programmed several effects on the pa5x where the Overb uses a reverb tail that is modulated by a slow LFO.

Qui: First of all beautiful recording! I love the complexity and detail in your sounds choices. I also like the capabilities that you attain with the "5". I totally enjoy mine as well, although still on the learning curve. I watch most all of your Utubes and find interesting tidbits to help my journey.
One question: are you using the Maxaudio and, if so, did you adjust from the normal on this recording?
Thanks again for sharing!

yes it was one of the first things I did when I got my pa5x, I've created a couple of maxaudio profiles for different kind of genres. The process that I used was recording a couple of my songs on the pa5x and analyzed them in my studio, that profile outcome for EQ Correction and the Mastering compressor settings were added by me in a couple of profiles in the maxaudio preset system on the pa5x.

So it's easy now for me to select my own profile in the pa5x for pop songs, ambient or EDM songs. The maxaudio on the pa5x converts it then real-time to my own profiles so that it sounds the way I want.

and the waves maxaudio quality is really good, so I'm really happy with it.
