|
|
Hi all,
I've got a Kronos X and I'm just going through the process of making sure it's all as up to date as possible, etc, given that it's no longer a supported product so best to update before the support files eventually vanish from the Korg website!
I've noticed on the Kronos X downloads page there's a Subsystem Firmware update available up to version 6.06.
I wasn't sure what version mine was already, so I ran the update process (on Windows). However, the update software is supposed to detect the current version and tell you if an update is necessary, but mine shows "current version: 0.00 (update required).
So I went through the update process which the updater said completed successfully, and then ran the update software again to check if the current version was now 6.06, but again it just said "current version 0.00 (update required)".
Any thoughts on what's happening or if there is another way to determine your subsystem firmware version? |

On the original Kronos/Kronos X, if the start up display shows graphic icons depicting the nine sound engines, then the sub system firmware is one of the latest, (V6.04 or V6.06).
Even if the latest version is already installed, the firmware updater can be used to (re)install the latest firmware, and no harm will come to the Kronos.

Fair enough. Based on my loadup screen, I am on one of those versions then.
However, when I use the updater it insists I'm on version 0.0 and need an update, and after doing the update process which it claims to be successful, still says I'm on 0.0 and need to update.
Any idea why it might be doing that? |
