Does anyone else have this problem?

When I download the three PA5x manuals and save them, they can't be re-opened without a password.

Any thoughts?

I just get the message that "There was an error opening this document. An updated version of Acrobat is needed in order to open the document".

My workaround is to use the PDFsam (PDF split and merge) program. It may work for you, too.

PDFsam will convert PDF files to work with earlier versions of Adobe reader. Use the PDFsam merge option, and only add the single required file to the filelist field. This works with PDFsam 3.3.7.

Sorry, but I'm not having this problem. Maybe it is your PDF viewer? I don't use Adobe. I had too much trouble with them.

We are only talking viewing? I use Samatra which is free. I can look at the PDF's anyway I like. If you are talking about editing, that is a whole other issue. They might password protect it. I don't know why, seeing one can't upload it for problems with their site. Whatever..... viewing is no problem. I just downloaded another copy and saved it with no VIEWING problems.
