| I am a Pro Musician that has been a loyal Korg keyboard user for over 35 years, and I am very disappointed with the Korg PA5X that I recently bought, I know that you are getting a lot of complaints for the upgrades but that is not my big problem, my problem is that I have spent over 800 dollars that I bought a locked set in microSD format in GREECE from Musicorama in Athens and I went from a micro SD card on my PA4x and now is useless and I have to pay again to transfer to the PA5X, and I have to pay again, if I go from a 76 key to a 61 key keyboard, we need some kind of transfer program from locked PA4x micro Sd to 5X micro SD slot, or some other solution other then having to pay so many times, ridicoulos. |

Hi.
If 'locked' means encrypted, there is something about it at Korg FAQ page.
Too bad that the softwaresellers at least don't offer 'upgrades' for a reasonable fair price.
Btw, Yamha has released all expansionpacks and also converted for new models, i.e. G1 to G2 free of charge.
Also if look at SoundWonderland that create software to use with Yamaha keyboards, they offer custopmers updates from former models for free. 👍

Since the Pa5X runs on a completely new system, there is a new system for encrypted data and this new system cannot support Pa4X encryption. Nobody can transfer older PaSeries encrypted resources in Pa5X not even the creator !
This SET must be sent again to KorgPa that will encrypt it to new algorithm and encryption software , so we're talking for a new batch
of sets that will be created with the relevant cost so paying for it again is inevitable !
If you want my opinion , do not purchase locked Pa5X resources that are simply transferred from Pa4X , there are a lot of issues
that have not been addressed yet with data conversions that not even creator of Set knows and will lead to continues system crashes.
Statistically Pa5X system crashes are happening only to users that are using transferred resources from older PaSeries.
Always prefer brand new Pa5X paid resources that you're sure that were exclusively made in Pa5X.
