Has any of you really delved into the STR-1 engine?
I think I have underestimated it. Am mostly looking into ambient and pad sounds.
Maybe you have general tips and experiences that you wanna share here?
Something basic to watch:

Try only noise thru the Excitation Filter set to band pass.
Fiddle with the cutoff and high resonance, soft attack.
You should get some sparkly sounds.
Once you find a sweet spot, try mixing in PCM sounds.
The STR1 engine can have a very high fidelity sound. |
