Wavestate gets "stuck" on a performance file, rebo

Every so often Wavestate will get "stuck" on a performance file, in an endless loop that I can't seem to get get out of. Reboot, sometimes powering down and then reactivating is the only way to solve this?
I do have a rather large collection of performance files, maybe that's somehow related?
Was wondering if anyone else has treaded into this particular quicksand, if there is some hidden workaround besides rebooting / powering down?
Just for reference, latest version of Librarian, Win 10
