the RADIAS rack (don’t get the RADIAS full package with its keyboard included, ‘cause it sucks)

It's a matter of taste. Using the Radias rack as desktop machine is crap because of the display's limited view angle. I purchased the Radias rack version first, and some months later a used keyboard add-on. Beside the stunning look of the "complete" package, the keyboard version is much more ergonomical. And more ergonomic means more fun, at least for me.

now that i've had the Virus TI for a few days , i can throw my 2 cents worth in ... with limited TI time ....

i dissagree with some of the adjectives that describe sounds of these 2 .

some say Radias is Thinner .... i think a better description of it's sound would be .... a more polished high end ....

and the TI being Thicker .... my Radias has as much low end, but i'd say the TI has a dirtier , more distorted lower end ....

but i definately 100% agree that they sound Great together ..!!!!

i'm using V2 on Radias ( with several altered V2 patches , plus my own )
using Version 2.5.1 on TI .... haven't been tweeking sounds yet, the TI editor needs to run in a VST and is not a standalone editor ..!!??

i use my units as hardware , midi'd keyboard modules .... not computer or sequence driven .... use them for pads, synth sounds .. no electronica type stuff ...

more info in the near future ... i'm sure ...

i have one big problem with TI ...

the editor is not a Stand Alone .... it only seems to run as a VST ..

i enjoy the Radias editor via my laptop .... but i do not use any computer based recording or sequencing ... yes , i play stuff live to tape ...

i CANNOT get any answers from Acces or the TI forum ,...!!! both have been 100% useless thus far ...!!!!!!!!!!

all emails have been un-answered ...

and after a week , i still CAN'T post a couple simple questions on the TI forum ...!!!! maybe the whole month of Dec. is a holiday .??!!

this kind of simple crap might make me just take it back ....

Hi Davc,

to use the editor software of the virus you need a vst host. You can try minihost, a program in which vst plugins can be started. Try

http://www.tobybear.de/p_minihost.html

Ciao, Dirk.
