Will there be other ways to expand the soundset besides the radias board? I see there are not too many preset programs, but room for many more. |

Hello.
If you look at the KORG website you will see that they mention USB / PCM expansions. Basically from what I gather, you need to install the sampling option to expand your M3 memory, and then you can buy these USB/PCM devices and they will load into the sampling memory.
Regards.

USB ports Type A/B is already available....All you need is the EXB-Sampling board if you want to get the samples in to M3....else cannot...on the other hand the other options are EXB-FW for using it as a vocoder kinda thing....
Anyone who has seen it in NAMM may correct me if wrong....

M3 seems to me like a white and black key with optionals... wonder what you can buy without chosing options... maybe a master with a joystick? is the ribbon an optional too?

Good point Lorenzo
From Korg's website:
"The M3 comes loaded with 512 Programs, and room for a total of 1,664 user sounds (...) As for the 16-part Combinations, 384 come preloaded, with room for a total of 1,792 (14 Banks)."
Plenty of room for future expan$ions lol... |

I don't know exactly how it works, but Korg is definitely planning on selling expansion samples:

I'm sure we will hear about that during NAMM.
