|
|
Hello. I bought my Kaoss pad a while ago, and I have been having to use my kaoss pad In-Line with my mixer and my computer. Whenever I try to use it as an external processor, I only get output from one channel for certain effects. I switch the cabling around on my mixer to see if one of the inputs were bad, but it does the same thing and switches it to the other channel. I also tried using different cables entirely, same thing.
Anyways, I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions. Using the Kaoss Pad In-Line decreases the sound quality
Mixer: Mackie Micro Series 1402-VLZ |

Same problem right here. I have the Tapco 6306 mixer, using the KP3 as a send effect, certain effects only appear on one channel. Anybody got any bright ideas? |

I can try to replicate/test this on my gear for you.
Tell me specifically which FX programs you're only getting one channel on and I'll try to recreate the problem.
Tell me the settings you have for:
-Input volume
-FX depth
-FX release level
Also, what are you using as a sound source for the send signal? Is it a stereo or mono signal you're sending? |

Just posting to say I worked this one out. I was being stoopid - using a stereo 1/4 inch in my mixer's MONO send socket
Happy it's working though!! |

Don't feel bad, I am doing the same thing. So the quarter inch that gets inserted into the send line must be mono? I'll have to try that, I need to get a new cable though.
I'll respond if the problem continues.
Thanks |

Aye, I think that'll sort you out, but you may not need to buy a completely new cable. I used an old RCA cable i had lying about and wee 'Y' adapter, which is 2 female RCA sockets to a single, Mono 1/4 inch. Cost about £2 ($4). Good luck! |

It does, but some mixers like my Behringer UB1832 only have mono FX SENDs, which is very annoying. But I think giving up the stereo imaging in the input is too high a price to pay! |
