Thanks so much for the explanations and links. I've used my X50 for a while and I can program sounds and splits and layers, etc. but I haven't been very good at adjusting the actual sound to what I want. And, yes, I have read the manual and I have learned how to do a lot but the manual and program pages on my X50 assume that you understand the terminology. As an acoustic wind player and piano player, it was not obvious because I really don't understand all the terminology and I have had trouble finding a resource to understand the basics of synths. I wrote in this forum once before asking about insert effects and why when I saved them, I wasn't getting the sound I expected. The reply was that it was obvious and they weren't going to answer my question. So, your explanations of some of the terminology were very helpful. I'm going to look up the synth links, learn even more about the terminology, and re-read the manual. Should make more sense this time. Thanks! |

The Korg website has a pdf parameters manual for the x50. It is a large file going into depth, what is only lightly touched upon in the users manual. They also have a pdf list of all the programs and combis. |

Hey all!
thank you for all these advices....
I registered here just because I want to talk to other X50 owners... and learn more about Korg things...
I bought this synthesizer a couple of months ago...
I'm still trying to learn it...
I haven't read all the replies to the topic yet, I'll do asap...
But I have a question:
What software do you suggest for recording audio/mp3 files with Korg X50? |

If you need a free sw, use Audacity. _________________ C:\> run

Current gear: Krome - I love it; Vox ToneLab ST - simply perfect; Hartke KM200 - thunder on the stage; Epiphone LP GoldTop - i always wished
Past gear: M50 - my honey; microX - replacement for my X50 (like sound module controlled from M50); X50 - lightweight and powerful; KORG AX 3G - small and well |
