|
|
I just bought the pad kontrol today and wanted to install the editor(from the installing cd) on my G5,but when the actual installing started,it stopped and said "there were errors installing the software, please try installing again"wich I did several times without any result.
I also downloaded the installer from the Korg site, same story.
So I installed another application(from digidesign)just to check if there was something going on with my computer, and it worked fine.
I also installed the editor on my powerbook and that went ok.
OS 10.4.8 on both computers
So wat could be the problem?Anyone? |

Do you have Administrator privileges on your computer? Our installers don't "go around" that...
Do you use more than one hard drive in your system? Even where you are booting from a second drive?
Any "strange" circumstances could be the culprit here, describe your setup in more detail and perhaps we can find it.
Regards,

I created a new user account and try to install it from there, but same story.
There are 2 int drives, one with my system and software on it,the other I only use for my audio and midi recs.I also have several ext drives.
G5 1.8 dual 4.5G ram , logic pro 7.1.1 with digi Hd 2accel cards with lots of softsynths and plugs(all original no cracks)
I also use the korg kontrol 49 wich works fine
Like I said,I only seem to have troubles installing the Korg editor soft, other installers work( did trie some more this morning)
Regards. |

Try firing up the Console from Applications\Utilities to see if there are any pertinent messages that Mac OS X or the app's installer are spitting out.
You checked permissions with disk utility already, right ?
