Even if a 88,76,61 keys is a good size for a workstation, for different reasons (room or travel...) it would be a great step forward to find a 37 keys M3!!! And not with a rack wires and master keyboard. Integrated!!
Korg please make it hapen: I would like a M3 37 keys!!
thanx

Why? You eliminate the ability to almost all play almost all sheet music and the demand would be incredibly low. If there was a big enough demand and it was financially responsible for Korg, they would have done it already. _________________ And there was this one time at band camp...... |

Not so clear!
with a 37 keys keyboard and octave shift it is possible to play every music sheet!
More over, I guess Korg would find a market for such a product but they prefer to keep it for microx kinda stuff.
and a 37k would be cheaper also.
I am sure there would be a good market (look at access or clavia... even if not workstations).

there are two options here:
1 you think that hip hop, dance, or some electronica is all the music we have
2 your skills with the octave shift button are amazing...
regards, Lorenzo
p.s. anyway I think that a 37 keyb is a really good portable solution for some kind of muisc, but here we are talking about a full workstation and not a synth like you mention in your post... _________________ http://www.synthaddicted.com |

I agree with clydebarrow... a compact, full-featured keyboard workstation with nice feeling fullsize keys? Perfectly compatible with the full-size models???
I've been fantasizing about a mini-triton since even before I bought my Extreme. The weight of just the 61 key model in a decent case makes for a tough travel companion! |

Thanks to elevated who is the ONLY ONE to look for a more transportable workstation!!!
And nevertheless thanks to other who, indeed, are lucky 61 k or more M3 user. Or they are Schwarzy mounted aren't they???
Definitly, M3 37keys, Waoouuu Workstation.
Korg
think about it!

Like I said before, not enough demand and not a good thing for Korg financially. Its much better for them to create smaller midi controllers to work with softsyths and DAWS. This is where the demand is for this type of thing and where things appear to heading or already have headed. Software offers a less expensive, portable way to get things done and people seem to have embraced it. _________________ And there was this one time at band camp...... |

I don't agree on the market size. and regarding the DAWs we all know they are whatever limited in comparison to a hardware instrument.
And, by the way, it is ONLY giving a 37 keyboard to the rack, in addition to the other ones!
And I want today play a blue melody lasting more than 2700 notes... remembering those...

I would just like to clarify my previous posting to reflect that I agree with clydebarrow, Only about wishing for a M3 Micro to be released.
I'm a bit lost with his comments on the limitations of DAW's, remembering blue melodies, etc... |

I would love to see a Korg M3 that is gigantic. 2 stories tall with giant keys that I can jump on like Tom Hanks in the movie 'Big'. _________________ www.davidduncanmusic.com |

Maybe in 5-6 years Korg will release a Micro M ......37-key "scaled down" version of the M3. _________________ M3, Triton Classic, Radias, Motif XS, Alesis Ion |

Look at sam ash's video, and you'll see that even with a 61 k keyboard he uses the octave shift button...
I don't want a "Micro". I just want a 37 k keyboard to be added to the options...
It could even be sold around same price as the 61... to reward new reference costs and to recognize a kinda "niche" proposal...
And for what concerns my song, it's not linked to the topic... it was a 9/11 melody with one note for every victim during that sad day six years ago.... |

Micro-M... yumm...
well, clavia has great VA with only 49 keys so also a reduced version to 49 keys mau find its way on the market.
for the 37 keys, well i think such key are mainly use for lead or pad (with one hand) while with the other you turn all the possible knobs... imho to have a M3-37, Korg may sacrifice some workstation features and add more easy-to-go realtime controls and make quicker possibilities to change sound parameters in real time.
my 2cent (eurocent of course ) |
