Hi all,

I've been playing with a cover Band recently, and we played a gig in a large Venue where we actually needed a sound guy...lol

Anyways I talk him into recording our gig and it came out superb Smile

Only problem was it is on cassette. I transfered the music to 3 CDs, the whole gig with no separation.

What I want to do is pick out like 10 of the best tunes and put them on one CD. What software can I use to break up or separate the tunes so I can put them on one CD?

Thanks in advance Smile

P.S.

Sorry bout the book ..lol Smile

Hey guy!!
Great pic with the Roland Ax!!!

BTW, you can use Audacity, wich is free, to separate your tracks selecting and exporting just what you need.
Then you can keep them on CD using something like Nero or, if you don't have the license for Nero, you can use windows media player included on windows to burn your own cd.

If you have got some DAW software it should be a lot easier and if you want to do some editing you can use some of the integrated effects (i.e. Sonar, Cubase, Nuendo, ProTools, etc) and then master and burn your disc in soundforge.

Regards

Audacity is a good audio editor to split tracks and fade in fade out... than you can apply other effects too (don't expect too much though)... it's free!

Diego you and me are on the same page. Nero or a DAW program would be a great way to do this and add some bonus things to fix it up. I would also recommend something like Sony Soundforge to clean it up once you get it on a disc as there is a possibility that it may not sound all that great after the initial transfer.

I would recommend the trial version.
Even if you don't want to buy it, you can't beat the 30 days of full featured wave editing and professional quality.

I would also recommend customizing the toolbar to your liking as I did.
It's easier to work with.

P.S. I don't work Sony or any of their companies.Crying or Very sad
