It doesn't matter actually because upgrading OS is just a very little job, it's very easy!

You should definitely upgrade to 1.51 before setting up the keyboard. Remember also to load the new musical resources. If you wait with the upgrade you might have to redo some of the setup work. 1.51 sounds so much better than the earlier versions and it also has the Guitar Mode which is used by many of the styles in the new musical resources.

Hello there:

It is possible that your keyboard could have the new OS 1.5.1 or OS 1.5 If not, the upgrade to OS 1.5.1 is very simple. But remember that the musical resources is : RES 1.5 and not RES 1.5.1.. Korg upgraded OS 1.5 to OS 1.5.1 but did not upgrade RES 1.5. Best of luck and congratulations on your new Korg Pa800.

Note: If your keyboard has OS 1.5 than you only needed to uprade the OS 1.5 to OS 1.5.1 and no need to worry about RES 1.5 becasue it will be already installed.
