Hi all
Can the sample memory in the Studio be used in the TR? and also, is the separately sold sampling board an extention for sampling or a must hav for sampling?

I know that the TR will not sample without the expansion board. I am not too sure however about the RAM issue. _________________ Music is the stuff Dreams are made of!!!

Yes. It's the same stuff.

You simply cannot sample without it.
You DO NOT need it if all you want to do is load KORG format sample libraries, but if you want sample your own sounds. Then you do need it.

so wait,
I know i will need sample ram for sampling but tell me this, if I want to load samples, for eg K sounds, which is formatted for the TR, do i need the sampling board option? jus to load samples, nothing else?

No. You don't need anthing other than the RAM.
