Hi all !
I'm from Brazil and I play in a Malmsteen cover band and Id like to emulate some Jens Johansson in my TR 76, but it is a lit bit difficult.. because a i dont know very much about sound synth.. I´d like to create a lead similar to Far beyond the sun and Rising force musics..

Someone can help me ?

This is for the peaple who dont know what im talking about:

Aeeeeeeee sou brasileiro tb, mas já q o forum é em ingles...

Check this tutorial from ProgSounds: http://www.progsounds.com/2005/08/21/jens-johansson-lead/

They did in a software called Nord Modular, but you can do it in almost every synth because they share the same tools.

Also there's a version of Jens' Lead to download in the forum: http://www.progsounds.com/forum/showthread.php?t=592

And check it out because there's a lot of topics about this Lead.

well you could tell where the lead is in the videos.....

Anyway I don't really dig that lead too much, but here is a quick guide how to make a lead:

2 saw-MG osc detuned by -4
Cutoff to about ˝ the way through (knob) same with resonance.
then put some Ensemble, Compression wah (FX no# 64 I belive) and maybe a flanger/phaser

Then get a disortion pedal like boss Metal zone and a reverb/delay pedal.
Jens lead is maybe a bit less disorted.

Anyway my favourite lead sound would be sonata arctica's
