|
|
There is this combi I have created that I really like, however when I try to copy it to the sequencer mode (via several different methods) it always resets all the insert/master/total effects and all the controls and karma in the first beat of the song...
For the first half beat I have reverb and etc.... and for the rest of the sequence I have raw synths with no effects?! Why? Any idea what's going on?
Sometimes it even messes up and only gives me a piano solo out of the left channel without anything else.
Any ideas!?! |

Dear Joe,
I cannot answer your question correctly now at scratch, but it is strange behaviour. I remember that Stephen pointed out often to look after the Midi of the Karma-section which can change the behaviour of effects, pannings etc...
Do you use Karma in your Combi?
Just an idea

There seems to be a serious thing going on here.
Tonight I have a similar problem in the sequencer, repeatable (strange word).
When i load a combi into the sequencer ( by the 2 different ways) everything is cool.
But as soon as I start the recording, even in the precount, the level of all tracks goes down to 0, only the first channel stays, but there are changes also on all levels.
When I stop the recording it takes some time ( to me more than usual) and then the volumes of the tracks is returning to the original ones.
So it is impossible to do any recording into the sequencer for the moment.
I checked Global etc.. nothing anormal here.
So what's going on here?
Who has similar problems?
Please report
Thanks

You might want to try reloading the PCG file. Disk/Factory/and select the Preload PCG.
I had some serious sequencer problems that seemed to be remedied by this. I was told this by Korg support.
As a matter of fact I had trouble a day or so after the reload and did it again and this seems to do it.
I don't know what's going on in there, but have a feeling there will be some kind of fix coming... _________________ Lou |

I experienced this, and each time I reloaded the Preload it seemed to fix it. There is a bug in there somewhere.
You shouldn't have to keep loading the PCG file. Try it and see if this helps each time you run into these problems. _________________ Lou |

The A001 empty slit problem is known by now. There was some thread in the Karma-Lab forum. So don't worry about that. But the other things are strange. There seems to be some buggy events happening here. So as always time will sort that out. That would be the 1. update with no correction afterwords in the history of sequencers
So maybe keep testing accurately. We are paying beta-tester anyway

I wonder if everyone experiencing this problem has installed the extra gig of memory? My advice is to use the highest quality memory you can find, and make sure the factory memory stays in the slot it was originally installed at.
EDIT!!!!!!
I meant to say, Make sure you move the factory RAM to the front slot (closest to the keybed), and install the RAM you bought in the rear slot!! _________________ Create to enjoy, not to destroy

FWIW, I am at the point where I don't really know what to do, stay with 1.3 or go back to 123.
Every, I said every time I fire up the Oasys and copy a combi into the sequencer, sometimes the tracks
are armed and sometimes there not. Sometimes the patches are there and sometimes there not.
Most of the time when I hit Start/Stop to begin recording, the Karma and Latch disengage (Lights)
and all of the modules lights turn off. Usuallyreloading the PCG file gets it going.
Sometimes I have to reload the PCG multiple times.
Should I not be doing this? Any feedback on this would be appreciated.
1.3 is killer but has been a pain in my ass from day one. Sorry bout that. _________________ Lou |

Hi Eric,
When I added the extra ram, I did not remove the factory installed chip. I just add to the open slot. I'm not sure if the new Kingston is in front or back? _________________ Lou |

Move the Kinston to the back slot and I bet your Oasys will start singing pretty again. _________________ Create to enjoy, not to destroy |
