Hello experts,
I just upgraded my Korg to OS 3.00 and downloaded the new Grand Touch RX Piano BUT when I used it, there's no sound that came with it? It's just dead. I already installed Music Reources 3.01 before. Did I do something wrong? Please help!!!! Thanks

hi,
how much sample ram do you have? (i think you need 32MB)
If you load this piano - did you make a reboot? (than the samples will be loaded)
try this and come back to me if it´ll not work.

Hi Ethan,
The Korg Grand Touch RX set is about 15mb - so provided you have one 16mb card installed it should work. Possibly your data is corrupted - there should be 4 folders in your set: Multismp, PCM and Sound (a fourth folder Perform is not necessary for the sounds but contains performace data). Go to Disk, select Grand Touch Set, Open, and see if all folders exist - if they are not all there you have data missing.
To see if you have enough Ram have a look at some of the posts associated with "4 New Piano Sound Sets" on the forum as it has been discussed there.
Hope you get it to work!

Hi guys,
I don't know how muc ram I have but I think it's 16MB (it's the original since I bought the keyboard). Last night I loaded everything, the Multismp, PCM and the RX User sounds, it worked but then after that it doesn't work. When I re-uploaded all the files, they work but then when I play the keyboard for awhile and re-use the sounds, the don't work. Everytime I turn on my keyboard and select the sounds, they don't work. So I don't know what's going on. I tried uploading and reboot, but still not work.

Thanks guys! The problem is resolved. Galettouille was right, I didn't set PCM on autoload. What is PCM anyways? Do I always need for those new sounds for KorgPa1X Pro? Again, thanks alot for the help experts !!!

PCM Pulse Code Modulation - a fancy name for Raw (uncompressed) sound in digital format eg. WAV or AIFF files.
If you want to play any sampled sounds (not already built into your keyboard in Rom) you need to either have PCM Auto Load ticked or seperately load your set everytime you turn your keyboard back on. This is because they are stored in Ram memory which is lost when you power off.
All the best,
