Why am I the only one complaining? These new patches make the RADIAS sound like a Nord Lead! Harsh, Cold & Raspy.

Aggressive leads all over the place, smotherings of Unison SAWs everywhere. Very contemporary Euro-Electronica, almost cliché!

I actually think the Factory presets show off the RADAIS way better by providing a broader scope of sounds (Sans A01!).

Each to their own i guess. But come on, how many SAW based leads can a man take!

Lets get creative guys. It seems like Electronica is caught in a time warp where pioneers like Jarre, T-Dream and Vangelis created lush sonic landscapes yet here we are today playing slightly filtered Sawtooths all over the place. Yes, Electronic music is still based on Melody, Harmony and Rhythm but Timbre counts just as much in this genre.

[Phew....Exhale, rant over] Wink

I agree, there are only a few good (string) patches from 2.0 based patches. (personal taste of course)
I overwrite them all with my on.
Are there commercial patches for the radias on the market?

Then keep the factory presets!

I don't understand your issue. You're not forced to use these new programs. Transfer the ones you like, ignore the others! I like a few evolving pads from this set, that's already enough to be grateful (I didn't pay for this).

I agree ... i just audition the sounds one by one ... keep the ones i like ... and re-write them over patches i don't like ...!! and keep making my own patches and keep tweeking existing patches .... slowly but surely getting a Radias full of patches i like and can/will use ...

i just made a blank template on a couple pieces of paper , and write in the patch numbers ... then fill in the names of the patches i wanna keep .. then i know were i can safely store new sounds that i like ..

fairly simple .... pretty old school though .... pencil and paper ...!! ha

i dont like any of the presets from version 1 or version 2

i always nuke them all and write my own from scratch.

If i wanted presets, i'd buy another rompler.
