I'm in dire need of muted brass patches beyond the internal sounds of the Extreme. I'm looking for both trumpet, trombone and french horn sounds with different mute effects (cup, harmon, straight). Anybody know if such a thing exists (preferably in the public domain)? Thanks in advance. |

I don't know of any freely available sounds to download, but there are a world of AKAI CD's you can buy. I dont know where in the world you are, so I can only tell you where I buy my AKAI CD's.
I get them from Time & Space in the UK.
That said, I also use a killer program called Brass. Check out the audio demos.

This might tickle your fancy because it's ultra realistic, and it's not based on samples at all. It's modelling.
If you really do want free sounds, try searching for Brass SF2 files. You should come across lots of those, but you will also need to convert them to KORG format using something like Awave Studio.
Regards.
