Help
I Have a roland mc303 groovebox, a microkorg, a carillon 25 controller & reason 4, audio from roland and korg go into a little tapco mixer into the pc soundcard.
ive also got acid pro 6 and fruityloops studio available if needed. Most favourible is the acid, but i like reason..
I have got the carillon 25 (like the maudio 8 controller) working fine and twiddly with reason 4. And independently i have the mc303 and the korg synced up very nicely on tempo I am trying with no success to get the mc303 and tempo to sync to reason 4..
I just want the tempo to all be in sync...
-I have usb from the carillon to the pc.
-I have midi out to the korg midi in.
-I have a usb / midi cable going from the pc to the roland mc303 in..
the korg can transmit to reason.
the carillon twiddles reason.
the korg is synced to the roland tempo..
how can i get the temp all synced up.. its driving me bonkers...
id really appreciate help. do i need a midi interface or somefink??
cheers 089

yeah...
U need to chk the routing of the midi chain- this applies to "all" midi.
i have a it working like this: ProTools LE--->terratec Midihubble-->mc303 midi IN. then i connect mc303 midi OUT to juno 106 midi IN-->then juno 106 from midi THRU to microKorg midi IN.
make sure U set the mc303 to EXT sync
you can skip the juno bit btw |

cheers reeper. i just bought a tapco midi link so hopefully that will help, although they didnt give me one midi cable ! so as i have only 1 midi cable it is going to prove tricky, unless i can switch the cable inbetween each beat..
thanks for the advice, i will give that a go aswell.. im a bit of a noob to midi i have always recorded just as audio.. nice set up btw.. i have managed to get a bit nearer but not everything is synced up yet..
cheers.. |
