|
|
Hi, everyone!
I'm new here...
Sorry if these questions have been asked before.
How much RAM comes stock with the TR?
How exactly do you upgrade the RAM in the TR?
What benefits does added RAM bring?
Also,
What does "Insert Effect" refer to, and is having one sufficient?
Thanks! _________________ Just got my M50!!! |

wellcome
no ram comes stock with the TR
the ram can be upgraded removing a panel on the bottom of the keyboard
more ram = more time of sample time
the insert effect is the one you can switch on/off in every single track
but the routing possibilities of the one insert and the two master effects give the possibility to use all of them as three insert, if needed

Wow... Thanks for explaining about the insert effect.
Good thing the routing is versatile.
Just wondering, is sampling time the only thing that increases with RAM?
This means that RAM will only be useful after installing the optional sampling board by KORG?
Can we also load more programs and combis into the TR with added RAM?
Also, is laptop RAM (DDR2, etc) compatible with the TR, or do we have to get a special type? THANKS!!! _________________ Just got my M50!!! |

The RAM provides memory for samples. You only need the sampling board if you want to use the TR as a sampler. If you have other means to sample, you can load the samples on to a SD card and transfer them to the TR's RAM that way. You can load up to 64 MB of RAM with two 32 MB sticks, probably available where you purchased the TR, or at a variety of music oriented websites. Hope that helps! _________________ DEVICE - CLICK HERE!
