Is there any way around the complete sound cutoff that occurs when switching combis or programs. It really makes live performance on the LE 76 difficult!

No, not in COMBI mode.

But if you copy the COMBI into the Sequencer tracks 1-8 (using the menus) and use it there, if you select track 1, you can play the COMBI live in there. You can then copy a second COMBI into tracks 9-16 using the menus and use Track 9 to allow you to play that sounds.

Now jumping between tracks 1 and 9 will allow you to jump seamlessly between the two sounds.

Only catch is you have to setup the effects so that the resources are shared between the 2 COMBI's.

Regards.
Sharp.

PS: Using the sequencer, you can access 16 Programs in the same manner.

That's a great tip & I will use it. Do you know if they fixed sound cutoff on the TR series? I was thinking of putting my old unit on Ebay and getting a TR76.

And it will be the same on every synth, it is phisically impossible cuz of the
FX, sometimes we can use Logic about certain things.

Roland JV80 is long discontinued and did not have that problem. Already-played notes would switch to the effects of the new patch or combi, but continue playing until released. I also really loved having realtime sliders that controlled the volume of the patches within a combi, or other parameters if you wanted them to. Excellent for keyboard + strings, that type of thing.

And that's exactly what happens on LE/TR in PROG mode but in COMBI there's simply too much stuff changing for it to work (not only the effects but also their routing and 8 progs instead of 1)
It's the same on almost every modern synth (I've heard the Kurzweils can do that but never even been close to one as you can't even buy them in this country Wink )
