|
|
Hi,
I'm trying to work out if it's possible to change the midi channel using sysex in my korgpadkontrol. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so, how to do it?
Many thanks,
Tems |

Dont know if its possible on the unit itself. You might have to use Max MSP, PD to do this. If yer on windows something simple like bomes will do it...

Cheers. yeah, i'm using windows and have got bomes up and running to control the lights so i can toggle them on and off, but i just need to know what part of the sysex string i'd need to change to alter the midi channel. I've had a play around, but can't seem to work it out |

I don't think that the sysex from native mode contains any midi channel information.
It is just sending out a sysex string that indicates the state of a button, pad, or knob. Such as: button or pad has been pressed or released (on/off), the velocity of the pad press, or the value of a knob when turned.
What happens when you detect one of the sysex strings, is up to you. In Bomes, your outgoing MIDI message is where you would set your MIDI channel. |
