I was considering buying one of the Zero 8 series but after reading this and seeing information on YouTube about the hissing, I am reluctant. Maybe I am approaching this my whole setup wrong. I need some advice. Here is what I want to do. I am using a ProTools LE surface system with a MAC. I would like the ability to use Ableton Live 6 Clips mixed with music I create on the M3 and sounds mixed in from a V-Synth at the same time. I saw on the Zero 8 that you bring it all together and it would automatically sync up the different genres or beat per minute to make it sound great. Am I approaching this wrong?

Thanks.

The MIDI clock syncing to BPM meter on the Zero8 is not good enough to beatmatch music. I have sync'd Ableton to my turntables, but it doesn't match well enough to mix that way.

Thanks for the info. What would you suggest if not the Zero 8.

The next best option is the Allen & Heath Xone 3D.
It's a lot more expensive, though.

Ableton Live has been around for years, and the Korg Zero8 was the first decent DJ-mixer style MIDI controller ever made. Hard to believe nobody has gotten this right yet.
