okay, i slowed a beat down to 90.0 on the tempo scale


but is there a way I can change the high hats to 120.0 without changing the whole beats tempo?

Short answer is no.

Long answer is maybe, if the pattern is simple and using your delays you might be able to get the hi hats to delay on a 120 bpm tempo.
