Okay guys! This is a quickie!
I'm purchasing a Macbook Pro. As I'm currently stateside, I found out that someone I know is going to Oregon on Tuesday. I could obtain the Macbook tax-free (no sales tax). The only thing is it would either have to be carried on in their hands at all times or shipped back to me when they fly back. Tax in my area would add 200-300 dollars.
Is this a good idea? Anyone have any problems shipping for gigs? I really can't afford to have the thing damaged in shipping.
Should I just purchase locally and avoid risking it? If I should ship it from Oregon, what method should I use to ship? Ground? Air/next day?
==Update: SERIOUSLY NEED AN OPINION ON THIS ONE GUYS== _________________ -jojo

Buy from amazon. Or a new in box one off ebay. Same goodness. It just has to be shipped from out of state from amazon or ebay. _________________ Korg Oasys 88
