I have owned a M1 for almost 20 years, and it's never given me a lick of trouble.

That said, it has recently begun to "act up" in the past few weeks. Every so often, it randomly bumps down to the next consecutive program or combo. Sometimes it will bump down once over a period of several hours. Other times it will do it 2-3 times within a few seconds. It occurs either if I am playing the keyboard, or even if it is sitting unattended for several hours.

Anyone have any idea what the issue might be, or how to resolve it?

Sounds like you need to replace the internal cr2032 battery, then reload the presets. That should take care of your problem.
