Hi everyone,
I have just tried inserting the SanDisk 2GB Ultra II Compact Flash Card (SDCFH-2048-902) i bought into my korg triton extreme and when i click on the MEDIA button it says:
CF: (None)
Am i doing something wrong? And how do i access this card?
Many thanks
James. |

Go to Media Info and select the drop down tab.
"Scan USB device"
Some cards have to be scanned in order for them to show up. |

Hi Tritex4
I did as you suggested but nothing happened its still saying:
cf:(none)
Should i try taking out the cf card and then putting it back in again? And should the machine be turned off before i do this?
Many thanks

Hey Jamesuk... The literature is very specific about not hot pluging CF cards. Take a look at the manual. Make sure the power is off before you insert or eject a CF card. _________________ A little ripple in a puddle, soon to be a TsonicTsunami !!! Catch the WAV |

Jamesuk
Try scanning the device more than once, and try to access the drive by clicking on the arrow.
If you're getting nothing, it could be that you're using an older system version.
Hopefully, you have version 1.05, installed.
The update addresses issues with the following Sandisk Cards not being recognized.
SanDisk SDCFB 1.0GB
SanDisk SDCFB 2.0GB
SanDisk SDCFH 512MB (Ultra 2)
My guess is that by installing the update, more Sandisk cards would be recognized.
But there's no guarantees that even an update will fix the problem.
As mentioned, you should always turn off the Triton before removing the drive. |

You know, that is a real limitation, that you have to power off the Extreme before inserting a CF card. It makes it impossible to copy or back up a CF card to another card without using a USB cable and a computer. On my computer, I can take a CF card out and put another one in without any problems, I wonder why Korg didn't integrate this into the Extreme's CF card reader. |
