hello everyone. Found the site because I think I might have fried my ER1 a min ago. I plugged it in a I heard a pop and saw a little smoke coming from around where the adapter plugs in. I took it apart and found a blown capacitor beside the place where the adapter plugs in. I was wondering if anybody has ever replaced one and fixed a problem like this?
Its is only 2 solder points so I think Im gonna attempt it myself. I just hope that is all that it fried. You cab plainly see the poppped cap and trace it to the point where it gets power so I think I have a chance at fixing it. I bought it at a pawn shop last mth for 140 bucks and I love it. Anyway just wondered if anybody has done anything like this repair before. Thanks now Im gonna poke around the forums for a while. |
