No. While there are programs with vocoder patches, the vocoder can be enabled/disabled on any patch with the editor, although with mixed success depending on the nature of the patch. There's also no need for a multi-track recorder or vocoder track because vocoder can be controlled with any key/chord you play live, although having pre-recorded tracks may be useful if you want to do that.
Some patches are also designed to use Formant Motion, which is the recorded vocoder characteristics of a voice/sound. The Formant Motion can then be applied without speaking into the mic during live playback.
So on any patch you can try to enable the vocoder to see how it works, or use the software editor to modify the patch to make it sound better with the vocoder turned on. |
