|
|
I have a problem with MIDI sync.
I want to use Cakewalk Sonar as a MIDI clock master, and Radias and Alesis SR-16 as slaves. My Radias is connected to the PC using a usb cable. The SR-16 is connected to the Radias with 2 MIDI cables. I have tried connecting both the OUT and THRU on the Radias to the IN on SR-16
The Radias has the following GLOBAL settings:
Routing: USB+MIDI
Clock: Auto
The Radias is in sync, but the SR-16 is not. It seems as if the Radias does not forward the MIDI clock signals. The SR-16 is set to recieve MIDI clock.
And also; the MIDI notes from the SR-16 reaches my Radias (fun in drum mode), but is not forwarded to Sonar.
So in both cases it seems like the Radias stops all MIDI signals from passing through. I think I have read all the relevant material in the manual. This has been bugging me for a while. Is there anyone who can help me with tthis?? |

There are multiple ports available in the USB driver.
MIDI IN: for data from SR16 to Sonar
KBD/KNOB: for data from Radias to Sonar
MIDI OUT: for data from Sonar to SR16
SOUND: for data from Sonar to Radias
See page 154 of the manual. _________________ I sing the body electric |
