Any help for any of these with the exeption of the 61 and the KAOSS
wouyld be extremley helpful.
Poly 61
M1
01W/FD
X3
KAOSS pad 3
and soon to be an X2
I bought a midi to USB interface but only found out once home that it requires win XP.
The problems I've got are these:
I my OS is Win 2000. Was there a change to the way floppy drives were read from win98 to win2000?
Problem - X3 floppy drive is becoming unstable.
Suggested Solution - Midi to USB.
My Outcome - Needs XP
Problem - 01W/FD Floppy drive is UNSTABLE.
Suggested Solution - Midi to USB.
MY Outcome - Needs XP.
Problem - M1. Accidently loaded from card overwriting all data on internal banks.
Suggested Solution - midi to USB.
My Outcome - Needs XP
Now. Before i outlay money that is not needed. Is there any alternatives? I.E Midi to USB surley existed before Win2000.
Floppy drives formatted in the X3 and 01 were easily read in win98 but now i get the format dialogue in win 2000.
I'm prepared to buy a laptop with XP or upgrade to XP but want to know this very easy question:
Can all data be transfered A - B. B - A? for all of the above. I mean Programs, Combinations and sng's (sequences).
I'm sorry for being naive but I'm pulling my hair out now because I feel I'm stuck in a rut where i dare not experiment or play anymore other than accept them as a toy you would find in a woolworths bargain bin. _________________ Blah di blah blah |
