Hi Stephen!
Very very nice song, I like the chord progression a lot!
IMHO, through iPod earphones, drums sounds a little too clear, try to cut a few high ends and you're done.
Great guitar playing, you're a very good player.
I'm still wondering that this OSAM will be full of experimentation for me...and I think I will go for different music than I had in my mind at the beginning.
It will include some acoustic guitar stuff, too, and consider I'm not a guitarist

"Smooth Jazz" ... abso-damn-lutely ... very smooth indeed ... and very much enjoyed here !
I did my listen as a listener and then listen for tech critique, as per usual ... (in fact I listening a third time whilst typing this, just for the chill value) ... and I have no musical/listener comments of any import other than I enjoyed it a great deal. Listening to the mix with a techy ear I found the highs were too hot making the hats fizz too much and maybe the guitar could be dropped back in the mix a little so it sits better with the overall ensemble. I just listened to Jon and George's pieces before this. Their lead instrument is the vocal and they both did a nice job of putting their vox in just the right spot in the sound stage, so steal ideas from them about how to get that lead instrument to nestle in with the backing but still be prominent.
Glad to hear your wife is in better health !
