Hey im having a bit of trouble.
Any of you who have a KP3 know that the touchpad isn't exactly practical for a keyboard.
I was wondering how to hook the KP3 up with my keyboard so that I can use the keys on the Keyboard to change the note of the Vocoder.
I have no mixer by the way before you start talking about them haha.

I don't think that can be done with a keyboard alone, unless you had some way of making the keys on your keyboard transmit Continuous Controller messages.
I suppose you would have to analyze the cc messages that the KP3 puts out and then figure out how the cc message lines up with each note and then have your keyboard send out a cc message instead of a midi note.
It might be possible if you can change the pad to output midi notes instead of cc messages. I'll check that out when I get home. |

right now i am controlling the vocoder using the emx1
im using the fx3 edit 1 and 2 knobs to control x and y placement and the motion seq button to send the touch command
then i just step motion sequence the pattern for the vocoder using my cheat sheet for notes
it renders the fx3 useless but i seldom use 3 fx
it is a little tricky but i haven't seen an easier way to do it
(don't own a midi keyboard controller to test)
but here is the note to CC value correlation
Code: | C 00-04
C# 05-09
D 10-14
D# 15-19
E 20-24
F 25-29
F# 30-34
G 35-39
G# 40-44
A 45-49
A# 50-54
B 55-59
C 60-64
C# 65-69
D 70-74
D# 75-79
E 80-89
F 90-94
F# 95-99
G 100-104
G# 105-109
A 110-114
A# 115-119
B 120-124
C 125-127 |
i am pretty sure its C4-C6
hope it helps |
