|

.
Hi. I have had my Electribe EA-1 mkII for a little over a year. The chasis and knobs are as tight and solid as on the day I opened the box, but . . .
. . . I have found recently that the Portamento will kick in on a playing sequence -- making it all wobbly and sour -- if that knob is set anywhere but on 0. I realize the simple solution is to keep Portamento level set at 0, but I like to have my knobs set at level 5 so if I tweak in real time, the change will be dynamically graceful -- swells and such -- not a "Wham! Bam!" on or off.
Since the knobs are in great shape, could there be a circuit glitch or some other issue? Has anyone had such hyper-sensitivity problems, if not with Portamento, then with Cutoff or Resonance? I'm concerned the Portmento knob might be the tip of an iceberg and a cascade effect could take place as the unit ages.
Your thoughts are appreciated in advance . . .

Ive read on posts on here about a fault called 'knob jitter'. a bit of an unsavoury name for it if you ask me but might be worth searching up on. _________________ Aint no thing like a chicken wing..... |
