I am interested in doing some live recordings with my D32DX and I am looking for ideas and instruction for the best way to do this. 4 piece band a couple of mics and off we go. Thanks for any information and ideas on this undertaking. Razz

this also apply to my d3200 though I have fewer tracks and so forth.

If you dont have enoug track but are a descent tech you could downmix by an external analog mixer the overheads and toms to two tracks. But this of course depends on what quality you want out of this. If you dont get your levels right on the toms its irreversible.

I've done this several times and it works fine when the standards aren't set to high.

you will need a LONG soundcheck!
