I would like to get the COPLA style in my PA50 over to my PC so I can transfer to my PA500. According to the manual, you connect the MIDI cables from PA50 to your PC and use the StyleToMidi program from korg support. I have done this and it is not working. There are no real instructions and I have looked in the Help of the program and no answer there. Maybe there is another way?? Like can one just save the PA50 style to the floppy? Maybe I can connect the PA50 MIDI to the PA500 MIDI and transfer it that way?
Thanks |

hi there
have you tried loading the style into a spare slot in the user bank?
Then you could save your user bank onto a floppy and try transfer it that way
Regards

Found the answer to this by calling Korg. To get a style to your PC for the PA50 you 1) Record the Style to User Slot and 2) Save all to the floppy. What it actually does is make 3 files on the floppy of the 3 user banks. User01.sty, User02.sty and User03.sty. My ultimate goal was to get the Copla Style over to my new PA500. What I did next was to copy the User01.sty which had many styles but in slot 1 was the Copla style to my PA500 using the USB and it is all working. Yea! There you have it. Thanks guys. |
