Thanks Art and Daz!
I've still working on this song and totally agree with the mixing issues, piano is definitely too loud etc. When I have a new version I'll post it again, like maybe mid April when things get a little quiet here again.
Thanks for the excellent advice about EQ etc., Daz. It is much appreciated!!!
Regards from

Just listening again. What a calming piece.
The Dell i530 should be more than enough for recording. If you plan on doing multitrack, keep your eyes peeled for memory on sale. The more memory you have the more efficient your recordings will be. If you have firewire ports, it might even be good to go with an external recording unit. That will keep the busses open for other things such as video.

there's a lot of Bach inside! I like a lot this one, if I should vote, this is the best song for this March. The constant modulation is really keeping the attention focused on the piano and the drums fit perfectly into this song.

Dee one thing this OSAM has made me have to face is the fact that I am not really writting full songs but a bunch of pieces. You have a nice full song. Every time I hear you play, I want to trash my stuff and start over. You take an idea, or ideas and work them through. Since you are playing piano primarily and building off it, my ears have to deal with the craft of simply writing ideas and developing them. You are doing what I need to learn.
I love what you do. Thanks and keep teaching!
When I hear all the different styles and talents in this OSAM, it makes me love music even more. What a kool thing we get to do! _________________ “I’m into scales right now.”

Thank you Jaz. We are all learning so much from each other here. You have inspired me many times with your music. If you see structure and planning in my music, then realise that I again wish it weren't so!! I wish it were more free and expressive, like yours, or John (ellll) or unimon.
Thanks for the comments,
Regards from
Dee
