Hello. This is my first post in this forum. I hope I will be well received here but my dumb question might start me off on a bad note... But... Since I need to ask the question...
I have bought a Korg Triton Studio. It has 61 keys on it.
If I get an 88 key midi controller keyboard and hook it up to my Triton Studio... Will I get to hear the lowest note on the 88 key keyboard or does the 61 key Triton Studio's programming limited to the notes of 61 keys?
I basically want to know if adding a 88 key midi controller will turn my Triton Studio 61 into a Triton Studio 88?
Or, are there other limitations that I need to be aware of? |

In a word yes. just hook the controller up via midi and use the triton's sound engine. Use the triton in sequencer mode to use its multitibral possibilities. _________________ Current Arsenal:

Actually, the sound engine allows for more notes/octaves than an 88 key, and you don't need an 88 key to use them.
A key can be any note you wish, and different notes at the same time for different patches simultaneously in Combi mode. You can change the notes with the "bottom key" and transpose parameters. You can sound notes so low that they are subsonic, and notes so high that they are ultrasonic (to us, any dogs nearby might still hear them). |
