Never tried hooking up my MK for midi
Would love to use the arpegiattor to control my soft synth
can i do this?

Yes. Page 47 of the manual.
You turn Edit Select 2 (bottom of two biggest black knobs in middle of microKorg) to GLOBAL.
4th knob of Edit Controls (4/EG ATTACK) switches between POS and PRE.
Choose PoS
Post KBD (PoS ):
In this position, incoming MIDI
data will be sent to the timbres
without being affected by the global
or front paneltranspose controls,
and will not trigger the arpeggiator.
Data produced by the keyboard will
be converted according to the internal
settings, routed through the
arpeggiator (arpeggiator notes are
sent as MIDI data), and then sent
to the MIDI OUT connector. _________________
