However, is the Nano Key touch/velocity responsive?

what do you think? Razz LOL Very Happy

Well, the NanoPad has 12 touch sensitive pads, and the NanoKeys look like they might be similar, so I wondered if the pads on the NanoKeys could be dual purpose (used as velocity-sensitive trigger pads AND keys/notes).

The nanoPAD has touch response pads, the same as padKONTROL. Also you can trigger groups of notes in the same way M3 and OASYS pads can.
nanoKEY DOES have velocity sensitive keys.
nanoKONTROL can also send note data via the 2 buttons on each channel.

In the flesh these devices are very neat and don't feel or look cheap. Korg are very proud of the name and reputation for quality and they have maintained that with nano products.
The colour scheme may not appeal to all but it looks great in front of an ibook.

Korg needs to fix its current line of product before they release more garbage. These things are for kids yet we paid thousands of dollars for non working keyboards. Korg fix your latest PA series first before you start making money on people.

I don't think so. Have you seen the latest keyboard for the iMac? These products are in the same league - small, neat, ergonomically efficient. Kudos Korg!!! Cool Cool

That nanoKONTROL looks like fun.. too bad it's USB-only, it could also be useful when connected directly to a synth.

There is definately a nanoKEY with my name on it. Very Happy

Any real word on the availability and cost in the states? I keep seeing things like October and Under $100.

Anything Official yet Jerry?

regards,
Rick

Embarassed

LOL - so I can't actually be blamed for any changes that occur, since I'm obviously not the person who made the statement, right?

Note to self - give them my business card EVERY time we film a segment.

regards,

Jerry

Thanks for the Link EJ2

Thanks for the Photo Daz

Guess I was wrong, if you look closely in the photo of Jerry holding a nanoPAD and nanoKEY, You can see my name on both of them. Just to the right of the X-Y pad and just to the right of the modulation button.

Now the hard part is waiting till October... Crying or Very sad

rick

Looking good Jerry Smile

I'll definitely get myself the one with the faders, unless its crap quality of course. Would be perfect for controlling my DAW.

Wish those faders were automated somehow but that feature would defo jack up the price a bit.

Hard to believe that these 'products' are made by the same company that made the OASYS.

Why is it hard to believe? Confused

Looks like Korg is still leading the pack by again introducing more inovative products at a much lower price point. I have an Oasys and an M3 and I still can't wait to add the nano series to my collection. Very Happy

Rick
