many things are changed in my life with my new job but I decided to rearrange my studio. So right now I've decided to sell my triton proX... yes, I've put some ads on local internet sites. The decision was really painful but I've seen I use more the kurzweil and the other gear using the triton mostly as a master keyboard for its 88 keys... even the sampler that I used often is replaced by the k2661 sampler and by the v-synth. So since I need more orchestral sounds, and in depth synth parameters, I decided to go for a kurzweil pc3x
In the case I'll found a buyer for my triton in my local area (don't want to ship it) I'll say goodbye to korg, at least since I'll found a product that will fit my needs. Obviously I won't say goodbye to this forum even if I won't have a korg anymore... what will happen to my site? I'll change the domain name and maybe the interface, leaving on line the download section, the little forum and any other thing... but I'll rearrange it to embrace more synths and brand...
So it won't be a farewell but a deep change in my life for sure.
Regards, Lorenzo

That must have been a difficult move for you.
Best of luck.

Not many people can say that they know exactly what they want, so good for you.

Best wishes

Well it is comforting that you are not leaving the forums. Indeed I use a variety of synths both hardware and software. But this forum is and has been fantastic for me. It has kept me encouraged and motivated to do my own music (I do tons of music, but mostly for others or paid applications).

So once again, I am glad to see you here still and continuing to share your great music (and advice) with the rest of us.

Jon

Me and Lorenzo talked a lot about this change, but I'm sure he'll love the PC3X.
I've tried it in Milan, and I've been totally amazed by the new Orchestral sounds, they are so real, so playable, they fit perfectly in both live and studio apps.

I'm not used to Kurz products, but the impressions I felt testing the PC3X was to have under my fingers a not-so-strong keyboard (Triton seemed much better under this point of view), with sounds "recycled" from the old K series, but with an amazing addition of great orchestral and keyb sounds coming from new ROMs.
As always, I think that K products have infinite potential power, you must know them in deep details to obtain what you want, but I feel that if you ask "Can I do that" the answer with their product at your disposal is always YES!

Regards

I'm still not that sure to do this change but in the past I used a lot the triton for live purpouse due to the easy OS that allowed me to make changes in the sounds so quickly... right now I can't bring with me anymore to play due to the change of kind of music... I hope this will be the right decision, anyway still didn't found a buyer except for the moss... but I won't sell it untill I'll sell the triton.
Anyway I really feel sad to sell my triton... too sentimental!

I think this is more than a mere Korg forum! It is a community, and you are most certainly a valuable member. The makes/models of keyboards you use are insignificant.

But well done, downsizing is good (if difficult). Makes you more focussed in the work you do.

hi Timo... I really don't know if I would call this a "downsizing" except for the sampler and the weight eh eh eh!
